2021-22

Pupil Premium Spending – 2021-22

We have 8 children eligible for Pupil Premium Funding, out of the school total of 154 pupils.

This means that 5.2% of the school are eligible for this funding of £1345 per child per year.

The current funding for 2021-22 is £8070 but may increase from January 2022.

Schools are given a pupil premium for:

  • Children who have qualified for free school meals at any point in the past six years.
  • Children who are or have been looked after under local authority care for more than one day.
  • Children from service families who receive a child pension from the Ministry of Defence.

Am I eligible to apply for pupil premium funding for my child?

If you are in receipt of any of the following, your child may be eligible for Pupil Premium funding now and free school meals from year 3 onward.

  • · Universal Credit (annual net income of no more than £7,400, as assessed by earnings from up to three of your most recent assessment periods)
  • · Income Support, income-based Jobseeker's Allowance or income-based Employment and Support Allowance
  • · Support under Part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999
  • · The guarantee element of Pension Credit
  • · Child Tax Credit (provided you're not also entitled to Working Tax Credit and have an annual gross income of no more than £16,190)
  • · Working Tax Credit run-on (paid for four weeks after you stop qualifying)

Who can I speak to about Pupil Premium funding?

Mrs Young is responsible for managing Pupil Premium Funding. Your child’s class teacher will be able to explain how we are using the funding to support individual children and the office staff can offer advice on how to apply for this funding if you think you may be entitled to it.
